Minty Monday No.80

New Airbnb app brings back skeuomorphic, Get your CTA fix on CTA.gallery, Create prototypes with Stitch and more

Hope you had a great weekend! Here’s this week’s Minty Monday, enjoy!

New Airbnb app brings back skeuomorphic

You might’ve seen it already: Airbnb just launched an all-new version of its app—along with two new additions: Airbnb Services and Airbnb Experiences. These let you book extras like massages or a personal chef directly through the app. But what stood out most to me is the return (or expansion) of skeuomorphic design elements. Think 3D icons that feel straight out of 2011. Honestly? I kinda like it.

Get your CTA fix on CTA.gallery

I'm a big fan of gallery websites that focus on specific parts of a product for design inspiration, like Footer.design for example . One great example we came across recently is CTA.Gallery, as the name suggests, showcases call-to-action sections from marketing websites. Super handy when you need some quick inspiration for your own site’s CTA layout or copy.

Create prototypes with Stitch

Stitch is a fun, node-based editor app that lets you quickly put together prototypes to validate your app design. It’s free and open source, and it even supports AI prompting—so you can generate prototypes without manually connecting all the nodes yourself.

Doji lets you try out fashion on your phone

Doji is an iOS app for anyone tired of ordering clothes online only to realize they don’t actually suit you. With Doji, you create a 3D-simulated version of yourself and virtually try on outfits to see how they’d look on you—not just on a model with different proportions. The app is available for download, but you’ll need to join the waitlist to get access.
