Minty Monday No.75

Free UI illustration library, Fancy Components; free React components library, Google introduces Firebase Studio and more...

Hope you had a great weekend! Here’s this week’s Minty Monday, enjoy!

Free UI illustration library

I’ve created quite a few UI snippets—or “UI illustrations”—throughout my career, mostly for SaaS companies. UI illustrations are abstracted representations of an interface, typically used on marketing sites to visually communicate how a product solves a specific user problem. They’re especially common in competitive markets, where potential users are browsing for alternatives and quickly need to recognize familiar patterns. SaaSUI is a free Figma library with the foundational building blocks for this type of UI illustration, and it’s super easy to customize from there.

Fancy Components; free React components library

Fancy Components is a library with ready-to-use React components and micro-interactions. It came a bit too late for us at Yummygum, as we had just finished putting the finishing touches on our own React-based website, which is entirely built with custom components and interactions. However, Fancy Components is definitely a gem to keep in mind for future projects, especially if you're looking to save time and add polished, interactive elements to your site.

New Amie website, less bells & whistles

Amie, the tool I personally use as a to-do app meets calendar app, has evolved over the past year into more of an AI companion tool. Along the way, they added several AI-based features—like smartly scheduling your to-do’s into your calendar or managing your meeting notes. Their website, once a showcase of playful interactions and design flair, has now taken a completely different direction. No more fancy tricks—just a radically more stripped-down and mature vibe. Worth a visit to see the shift for yourself.

Google introduces Firebase Studio

Firebase Studio is Google’s response to the rising wave of tools like Lovable. While Lovable leans more into no-code territory, Firebase Studio positions itself as a more robust, developer-first platform with heavy AI-assisted coding. If you’re familiar with the old Firebase, it won’t surprise you that they’re calling it a “full-stack AI workspace.” You can still spin up things like databases, authentication, and cloud functions—but now with more AI muscle behind the scenes to streamline your workflow.
